Desktop Sharing 4 Dummiez

February 24th, 2009

So, I was talking about WebMeeting123 with a woman that works at a PR firm and, after telling her about WebMeeting123, she said “Oh, it’s like desktop sharing for dummies!”

Cool. I like the way it sounded. I even considered adding it to the website. Ha, fat chance. Upon doing a cursory Google search, I discovered that Wiley publishing is rather aggressive about pursuing those who violate their trademark on the words “for dummies”.

Now, I don’t know about you, but the idea that a corporation can somehow own common words like “for dummies” strikes me as just wrong. Now, I am not foolish enough to tangle with Wiley’s high priced lawyers, but I still think it’s within my first amendment rights to actually quote what someone said. We’ll see. :)

It’s All About the Little Things

February 23rd, 2009

Sometimes you just never know how things are going to turn out. This article describes the boondoggle that was the changing of Tropicana’s OJ packaging.

Consumers demanded that Tropicana return to their old familiar packaging, you know the one with the orange with the straw in it. Very interesting. The lesson? You better listen to what people say they want, not what you think they want.

Most desktop sharing companies (pretty much all of them from what I can tell) think that more features is the way to go. We don’t. We think (and just about everyone we’ve spoken to tells us) that most people just want simple, secure web meeting software that just works… No muss, no fuss.

WebMeeting123 is the simplest and easiest to use desktop sharing software available anywhere at any price. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Cheap Desktop Sharing

February 22nd, 2009

Cheap is an interesting word. It tends to imply both low cost and low quality. Interestingly, Webster’s defines cheap as “at minimum expense”.

And that’s how I think of WebMeeting123 , as high quality, secure and simple desktop sharing software sold cheaply.

You can pay a lot more and not get better or you can go for free and hope that it works. We think good and cheap is best. :)

Less is More

February 21st, 2009

Most desktop sharing software out there, other than WebMeeting123 , are unbelievably feature rich.

The thing is that these “features” add to the complexity of the user’s experience. It is our philosophy that when it comes to desktop sharing software, less is more.

This article in the New York Times points out that the vast majority of people use their cell phones only to make phone calls. If that sounds like you, then WebMeeting123 is for you.

WebMeeting123 is just plain simple desktop sharing software. With three clicks of your mouse you’ve started a meeting and invited your guests. It’s so easy your father could do it.

Out to Make a Difference

February 19th, 2009

With so many desktop sharing solutions out there already, does the world really need another one? We think so.  Sometimes, as the saying goes, less is more.

WebMeeting123 offers you less complexity, fewer hassles and an unbelievably low price of just $79 a year.

GoToMeeting and WebEx require that your guests download software to join your meetings while WebMeeting123 does not and both GoToMeeting and WebEx cost $49 a month!

At a fraction of the cost and with a free 30 day trial, can you think of a good reason not to try WebMeeting123 ? :)
